An excerpt from my poem "Planted", which was accepted for inclusion in the Poet-Artist Collaboration at Red Wing Arts Center. This poet-artist collaboration is a reversal of the traditional ekphrastic exercise; instead of poetry being written in response to a work of art, art will be created in response to a poem.
